Initially developed for athletes before being outlawed, SLAM acts as a combat performance enhancer, targeting the user's nervous system as a fear-inhibitor and painkiller. Uncut SLAM is the concentrated form of the drug, and must be diluted to non-lethal dosages before it can be packaged into dispersal vials and consumed.
